Lewis Lastella, born in 1978 in Grenoble (France), has been fascinated by music from the age of 5 years old. His first DJ experience was for parties at his primary school when he was only 9. Self-taught, at the age of 14, he started to make "pitchs" out on his cassette decks and then began to mix in various parties, until he was 18 when he got his first job in a club.

In 1999, he hosted during a year a weekly show on a regional radio, and it was in 2000 that electronic music became his main interest. It is also the same year that Lewis Lastella equips himself to compose his first tracks. During 3 years he plays at "Busy Café", which is a major place of the electronic music in Grenoble.

In 2003 he met his friend Jean-Marc (Balazko) and became resident with him in the most prestigious club of Grenoble, "Le Vertigo". It was there that he met Richard (Balazko), Lionel (Mac Gregor) and Yannis (Kama) who later would become "Pumpz Recordings" founders.

In 2005 he created his own radio show named "Feel The Vibe": 2 hours of mix broadcasted music on Max FM, which is a regional radio from Grenoble. He produced, mixed and hosted this show every week.

At the beginning of 2008, he signed off his first release on his friend's label "Pumpz recordings" as "Dj Lewiss" with a remix of the English "Milton Jackson". Then he made a few remixes for various labels: first with "Gino's" followed by a second release including a remix of the Belgian "Kolombo".

In 2010 "DJ Lewiss" changed his stage name as "Lewis Lastella" and signed off with "Pumpz Recordings" the "Gentil Toutou" record which is classified #17 of the top tech-house Beatport. The same year on Beatport, he classified #3 of the top tech-house with "Zebraland", in August 2010 "Sunset" remained classified at the top 100 deep house more than 10 weeks, "Pago Pago" #11 of the top house and "Pumpz Up The Volume" #14 of the top tech-house.

At the end of 2010, after 5 years of existence, "Feel The Vibe" is replaced by a new radio show, the "Lastella Mix", where every week he mixes during 1 hour the best sounds deep-house, house, tech-house and techno on Max Fm (Grenoble, France), Westradio.gr (Greece), Talebo Radio (Venezuela), Rapsodia Radio (Mexico), Mister.fm (Spain), 6towns.co.uk (UK). The podcasts are also available on itunes & soundcloud.

In 2011 he made an unofficial remix of "Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence" which has more than 11.000 plays, 2800 downloads & 100 comments on www.soundcloud.com/lewislastella

Lewis Lastella, né en 1978 à Grenoble (France), se passionne pour la musique dès l'age de 5 ans. Sa première expérience de dj se fera pour les boums de son école primaire alors qu'il n'a que 9 ans. Autodidacte, à 14 ans il bricole des "pitchs" sur ses platines cassettes et commence ainsi à mixer dans des soirées diverses, jusqu'à ses 18 ans où il décroche son premier job en club.

En 1999 il mixe pendant un an dans un radio show hebdomadaire sur une radio locale, et c'est en 2000 qu'il s'interresse de plus près à la musique electronique. C'est également cette meme année que Lewis Lastella s'équipe pour composer ses premiers morceaux. Pendant 3 ans il joue au "Busy Café", lieu incontournable de la musique electronique à Grenoble.

En 2003 il rencontre son ami Jean-Marc (Balazko) et devient résident à ses cotés dans le club le plus prestigieux de Grenoble "Le Vertigo". C'est à ce meme endroit qu'il rencontre et devient ami avec Richard (Balazko), Lionel (Mac Gregor) et Yannis (Kama), qui deviendront plus tard les fondateurs de "Pumpz Recordings".

En 2005 il crée son propre radio show nommé "Feel The Vibe", diffusé sur Max Fm , une radio locale Grenobloise, qu'il produit, mixe et anime pendant 2h chaque semaine.
Début 2008 il signe sa première release sur le label de ses amis "Pumpz recordings" sous le pseudo "Dj Lewiss" avec un remix de l'anglais "Milton Jackson". Ensuite il fait quelques remixes pour divers labels dont celui de "Gino's", suivi d'une deuxieme release incluant un remix du belge "Kolombo".

En 2010 "Dj Lewiss" devient "Lewis Lastella" et sort sur "Pumpz Recordings" "Gentil Toutou" qui se classe 17° du top tech-house Beatport. La meme année sur Beatport "Zebraland" est classé 3° du top tech-house, en aout 2010 "Sunset" reste classé au top 100 deep house plus de 10 semaines, "Pago Pago" 11° du top house et "Pumpz Up The Volume" 14° du top tech-house.

Fin 2010, après 5 ans d'existence, "Feel The Vibe" cède la place à un nouveau radio show, le "Lastella Mix", chaque semaine, il mixe pendant 1h les meilleurs sons deep-house, house, tech-house & techno sur Max Fm (Grenoble, France), Westradio.gr (Grèce), Talebo Radio (Vénezuela), Rapsodia Radio (Mexique), Mister.fm (Espagne), 6towns.co.uk (UK).
